The BCSS Game Jam is back for a second year! We've joined forces with 5 other societies to make this event possible and as awesome as it can be. Get together in groups of 4 to build your very own game over a 48-hour period and win prizes! You'll build your projects to a mystery theme that we'll reveal at the Launch event. The Launch event will be Friday 21st November at 17:15 in 1W 2.101 - the theme will be revealed here after the event. DandyHacks is the University of Rochester’s annual 42-hour-long hackathon that was started in 2013. It is completely student-led and student-run. At DandyHacks, we aim to provide a comfortable and friendly environment where students can fully absorb themselves in the competition. About the Challenge   Welcome to Hack the Herd Fall 2025, a collaboration between AI in the Liberal Arts, the Office of Sustainability, Ideas 2 Innovation, and the CS clubs at Amherst College. This event embodies a commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, and designing sustainable solutions. This hackathon brings together the brightest minds on our campus to collaborate, ideate, and create solutions that will drive positive change in the realm of sustainability through emerging AI technologies. Achieving sustainability is perhaps the defining idea of our era. The consequences of not achieving it are catastrophic as humanity faces a series of complex, interconnected challenges, including: Climate change Racial and socioeconomic inequities Resource depletion and degradation Biodiversity loss Waste We are at a pivotal crossroads, and the urgency to act grows with each moment if we are to set ourselves on a sustainable path forward. Apply for funding to research myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, also known as ME/CFS. You can get the funding through any of MRC’s funding schemes. Key features of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) are that: they are open to businesses or not-for-profit organisations, research organisations and graduates to work on an innovation project partnerships can last between 12 and 36 months funding is provided to support the total cost of the project – businesses provide around one-third to half of the project costs depending on their size.

If you are a researcher looking to return to an academic research career after a break of two or more years, this bursary can help you to develop a proposal suitable for submission to the STFC fellowship scheme. You can apply for funding of up to £2,500 to cover the cost of activities that will help you prepare a proposal for STFC fellowship funding, such as: literature reviews familiarisation with equipment and techniques attendance at meetings and seminars. You may also use it to help cover the costs of preparing an application for funding, provided that you are a named researcher on the proposal.

These fellowships are for those looking to return to a research career after a break of two or more years for family, health or caring reasons. The aim is to give participants the confidence and skills they need to make a successful return to research. They provide an opportunity to balance a personalised retraining programme with a challenging research project, in a supportive UK university or research establishment. They are flexible, with at least 100 hours retraining per year, and part-time – usually completed over two years at 0.5 full-time equivalent although some UKRI funders may award longer than this.

Apply for funding to develop institutional-level innovations in research and knowledge exchange. You must be a higher education (HE) provider that is: based in England registered with the Office for Students in the ‘approved (fee cap)’ category carrying out research. Your project should involve: addressing government and UKRI priorities working with partners. You can apply for any amount of funding. However, proposals must include contributions from partners. We will not fund research projects. This funding comes from the Research England Development (RED) Fund.
