Financial Operations Manager at Chip


Our mission is to streamline and modernise our operations, ensuring that our team has the right tools to focus on strategic business enabling functions rather than getting bogged down in manual, repetitive tasks using Excel.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Conducting auditable, safeguarded account reconciliations in compliance with the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (PSRs).
  • Performing daily payment reconciliations.
  • Reconciling customer accounts across various products, encompassing both cash and investments.
  • Accurate accounting of payment transactions.
  • Developing and refining reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams for precise reporting and information dissemination.
  • Assisting the product team with financial operational impacts and requirements for new features.
  • Handling capacity planning, team management, coaching, and career development.

We're Searching For:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in finance operations, preferably with experience in establishing new reconciliation processes.
  • Proven experience in managing a small team of analysts.
  • A deep understanding of control frameworks and safeguarding regulations, ideally gained in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in a high-growth company.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
  • Someone who is comfortable working from our Shoreditch office three times a week.
