Role Overview

As the Senior Project Manager in Continuous Improvement, you will oversee the various aspects and subsets of the SDLC within the PMO. This includes driving the culture of sustainable continuous improvement, operational excellence, and delivering business expectations. You will work closely with department heads and other team members to identify bottlenecks, redundancy, and disconnects in processes. Additionally, you will conduct regular release meetings with multiple disciplines in DCAS to ensure timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage the process, planning, and execution of quality/improvement efforts for the organization
  • Align initiatives with corporate strategic goals and timelines
  • Implement goal alignment activities with cross-functional teams
  • Manage a portfolio of projects focused on reducing waste and improving quality
  • Collaborate with other department managers to prioritize work and assign resources for standardized processes throughout the SDLC
  • Ensure project governance, roles, responsibilities, and outcomes are maintained and improved upon
  • Deliver value by managing a portfolio of work for customers and offering strategy and alignment for the success of the PMO
  • Drive consistent communication and project tracking across a portfolio of work for stakeholder visibility and internal awareness
  • Work directly with vendors and stakeholders to reduce confusion and manage expectations
  • Monitor compliance with project management standards, policies, procedures, and templates
  • Escalation point for all direct reports, senior management, and directors
  • Apply project management methodology, best practices, and standards
  • Successfully lead project management transformation/change management initiatives

Job Specifications:

  • Proven track record of SDLC completion
  • Excellent understanding and ability to implement project management methodologies
  • Experience with vendor management
  • Familiarity with district policies and procedures
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with project management tools and software
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred)
