Amgen: CW - Senior Finance Manager

Location: Algeria - Field/Remote

Responsibilities:

• Select, train, coordinate, and coach staff to ensure they are capable of performing their assigned duties
• Manage the preparation of forecasts and budgets, providing recommendations to business units based on analysis of deviations
• Act as a link between Finance and Business Units, ensuring data integrity between departments
• Oversee reporting processes and provide analytical management
• Lead business planning and decision-making processes, providing financial analysis and modeling of potential scenarios
• Monitor actual and forecasted costs and revenues on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Ensure timely production of monthly sales forecasts in coordination with business analysts
• Coordinate and consolidate budget, latest estimate, and variance analysis
• Lead long-term planning support activities
• Ensure there are no overdue receivables and that all company data is collected and consolidated for reliable forecasting and planning
• Implement efficient processes and procedures to monitor contracts
• Lead FP&A projects and participate in regional projects
• Communicate financial trends and their implications to BU Managers
• Provide decision support to stakeholders and prepare reports to support management
• Ensure data integrity across platforms
• Coach and mentor the finance department staff
• Respond to audits and controls from internal and external entities
• Ensure adherence to corporate and local guidelines
• Serve as a role model for Amgen Values

Requirements:

• Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Finance
• 6+ years of experience in a similar position in an international environment
• Experience in accounting, budgeting, and planning
• Fluency in English; French is a pre-requisite in both written and oral communication
• Arabic language skills are highly preferred
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Advanced studies in Finance (financial analysis, controlling, accounting, consolidating) and an MBA would be an advantage
• Experience in various areas of finance and accounting
• 2-3 years of experience in a management position within an international finance department would be an asset
• Industry knowledge and basic understanding of applicable laws concerning business administration, taxes, accounting, and consolidation
• Basic knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with SAP FI/CO and BI systems (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
