Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver production AI agents from start to finish.
• Ensure reliability by implementing observability, logging, guardrails, evaluation pipelines, cost controls, and human-in-the-loop flows.
• Integrate with enterprise systems by building connectors and retrieval pipelines to data stores, APIs, and line-of-business applications.
• Review and elevate AI-generated code and designs, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Own quality by maintaining evaluation datasets, defining accuracy targets, and addressing failure modes as top engineering priorities.
• Produce clear and concise designs, runbooks, and technical documentation for others to follow.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, with a deep understanding of systems and their architecture.
• Experience working with LLM-based systems in production or near-production settings.
• A product-minded approach, with the ability to think beyond just the technical aspect and understand the business needs.
• Architectural taste and the ability to analyze system designs for soundness and efficiency.
• Comfort with ambiguity and probabilistic outputs, with a focus on iterative refinement and evaluation-driven development.
