Hey,

DO NOT TALK ABOUT AI PRODUCTS.

If you could have a real old school metal robot do something in your work what would it do?

Soo much of what we do at work is online now, meaning alot of people are focussing on AI.

But I still think that old school robots could help:

  1. Reduce Human Error,
  2. Speed up Order Fulfilment,
  3. Create Data for AI models to use / become forward compatible with AI products. (+ alot more)

Tree Surgery for example, the other day I saw a ring around the base of the tree drive up, chopping off branches in its way.
A few of my good friends are Tree Surgeons:

  1. They get paid alot,
  2. They make costly mistakes,
  3. They risk injury daily.

I suspect the example robot wont have much competition as people focus on Gen AI or Computer Vision, and will likely make a killing.

Not only that but you could quite easily piggyback off advancements in computer vision to cut trees faster by spotting the branches.

Looping back to the start of the post, If you could have a real old school metal robot do something in your work what would it do?

I'm excited to read your ideas...

P.S I added a picture of the Tree Robot

Loving the idea of bringing back those old-school metal robots! Forget AI—give me a robot that can handle all my admin tasks with the precision of a steel titan, and maybe even make me a coffee while it's at it! ☕

As for tree surgery, imagine a robot just casually chopping away branches while reciting Shakespeare or singing heavy metal 🤘. Now that’s some real multitasking. For my work? A robot that automatically books all my meetings, never double-books, and sends perfectly polite follow-up emails! Less human error, more time to relax.

P.S. That tree robot is the unsung hero of the future. 😂

Thats starting to sound more like an AI. Possibly doesn't even need AI just a few logic steps: Only allow meetings from Odin and John, reply to everyone else asking for a short summary.

Haha everything is starting to sound like AI on the internet! The content snowball paradigm is shifting, AI has overtaken manual span content at an alarming rate!
