I personally wish I had listened when someone told me to keep a close eye on my investments but not to touch them unless really necessary. I also wish I had a better system for organizing my personal important files sooner. I've gotten in trouble for being tardy with paperwork because of disorganization. 

My mentor told me to listen twice as much as I speak.  I have a bad habit of filling silence with nervous chatter, which makes me look insecure and unsure about my business when I'm meeting with potential investors.  It's such a difficult habit to break, though.

Ouch!  I've made the mistake of cashing in investments too soon, especially cryptocurrency.  It still makes me cringe when I think about it today.  Your mentor was wise.
