The Ministry of Justice is thrilled to announce the upcoming Online Support and Advice Grant (OSAG Legal Support), aimed at enhancing access to online legal support and advice. This initiative is especially designed for litigants in person, supporters of litigants in person, and not-for-profit organisations. Through a singular digital service or tool, this grant seeks to provide comprehensive assistance across civil, family, and tribunal (CFT) matters, ensuring users can effectively navigate the justice system and prepare for court proceedings as needed.

Core Details:

  • Purpose: To facilitate access to online legal support and advice for a wide range of CFT issues.
  • Target Audience: Litigants in person, their supporters, and not-for-profit organisations.
  • Service Goals: To create a user-friendly, easily accessible digital platform for legal guidance.
  • Funding Range: Approximately £130,475 - £200,000.
  • Application Period: Opens 15 January 2024 (12:01 am) and closes 12 February 2024 (11:59 pm).
  • Eligibility: Charitable, benevolent, or philanthropic organisations, including consortium members.

Key Objectives:

  • Develop an accessible digital/online support tool.
  • Ensure the tool is user-friendly and reduces the risk of issue escalation.
  • Regularly update the online information to reflect legal changes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of the online support, providing insights into usage patterns and effectiveness.

Milestones and How to Apply:

  • Market Engagement Event: 9 January 2024
  • Competition Live Date: 15 January 2024
  • Clarification Questions Deadline: 5 February 2024
  • Competition Deadline: 12 February 2024
  • Contract Award Confirmation: March 2024
  • Project Start: April 2024, with a 12-month duration and potential for extension.
