What tools do you use to manage your payroll and other expenses? I need to stop cutting physical checks, since it's a time-consuming task. I'm looking for a more modern way to handle payments.

    Make sure you register with HRMC, or you'll be looking at enormous fines and a massive headache down the road. I use QuickBooks Payroll, which has been around for ages. It's easy to use, plus the software is affordable.

    Another vote for QuickBooks Payroll. I have heard nice comments about Gusto, ADP RUN, and Justworks also.

    It's challenging getting 100% away from writing cheques.
