As a Clinical Prosthetist & Orthotist working in rehabilitation, Iโ€™ve come to appreciate that health and fitness go far beyond workouts, weight, or appearance. Movement is independence. The ability to walk, exercise, work, play, participate in your community, and simply live your life without unnecessary limitations is something we often take for granted. My work has shown me how physical health, rehabilitation, assistive technology, nutrition, mental wellbeing, and prevention are all connected. Iโ€™m interested in creating conversations around practical ways we can build healthier bodies, prevent avoidable disability, improve mobility, and make fitness more inclusive. Iโ€™m also curious about how technology and innovation can change the way we approach health, rehabilitation and fitness in the future. What does living a truly healthy and active life mean to you?
