I used seed money to further test my app.  I raised just enough to hire some devs and potential end users to try out the app and report any bugs or glitches that they experienced.  This allowed me to make the necessary tweaks that were needed to create a finished product for the next investor round.

Where did you find your investors? I don't need seed capital for my business, but it amazes me that new companies are able to find money in the thousands all the way up to the millions in some cases.
