I would probably try to find a way of offering more, if it's a service, or I'd create something better, if it's a product.  That way I'd stand out amongst the crowd.  It's probably easier said than done, though. 

I mostly focus on appealing to a different demographic.  If the other service is marketed to women, then I target men.  If it's styled towards adults, then I target children.  I also try to put my price just under the competitor's.
