Date: February 6, 2024 Venue: Lancaster Room, Somerset House It's taken us three months of blood sweat and Tears and with all of your feedback and support we are now ready to take the Startup Events to the main stage.
The Startup Events is a monthly event that brings together hundreds of London startup founders, investors, and a rich mix of startups, scaleups, late-stage tech businesses, academia, and the public sector and it's completely free to attend.
The London Startup Events is an informal and networking-focused event.
We are expecting over 150 attendees,
60% of them being founders, 15% investors, 25% other industry professionals. Founders and investors will have the opportunity to do a one-minute pitch during the event (see the details below).

Thomas J Vosper - Aisle 3

Thomas's entrepreneurial journey is a testament to his no-nonsense approach and frugal mentality that transforms challenges into opportunities.
🛺 Became a first-time founder at 40 and a CEO of a multinational corporation, Raised over $1.5m of investment from international VC's, family offices, and some of the most credible subject matter experts Angel Investors. Built one of Europe's largest digital shopping businesses and sold it to a large European-based incumbent in an all-cash deal after running an in-house auction in less than 7 days.
David Pearce - CEO Decodifi, Co-Founder Angel Track
David is a physician turned developer. He has built and exited two SaaS companies over the last 12 years and been an early-stage angel investor since 2015. He now mentors and sits on the board of successful start-ups in the medical, education and legal sectors.
David is passionate about helping founders reach their goals of getting investment but even more importantly having fun along the way because if it's not fun, it's not worth doing!

Perdie Alder has been an active force in the startup ecosystem, dedicating her efforts to building and accelerating startups since 2006. Currently, she holds the position of Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Hotbed, a platform and community designed for ambitious startups seeking growth. At the London The Startup Events we believe that every startup should have the opportunity to pitch to investors without having to pay any fees whilst maximising the efficiency of your startup networking campaign success.
We understand the challenges that early-stage startups face and we want to create a level playing field for all attendees.
All pitches will be recorded, promoted on our networks, and shared to help tell your story. 📣 We will follow up with the recordings too. 📽️ If you also have sharable pitch decks, we will circulate these in our newsletter. 😊📩 🎤🚀 Open Mic Pitching Details:
To participate in the Investor and Startup Pitching sessions, you must be a founder, work for a startup, or be an investor. 🌟
Each pitch should be no longer than one minute. ⏱️
Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis, so please make us aware through the use of your Eventbrite signup (Tick Yes to be Involved in Pitching), email us, or let us know upon arrival if you want to take part. 📩✉️👋
The Submission deadline is 18:00 pm on the day of the event. The first pitch will begin promptly at 7:00 pm, and the final pitch will conclude before 9:30 pm. 🕖🚀
8 startups will be able to do a 1-min pitch followed by a Live Q&A (We will be using the Slido app) 🤝📱 and Networking opportunities will be available during intervals between sessions. 🤝🌐
The selection of those who pitch will be randomised for each session of the night. 🎰🌙
The Top Two Pitches will also have the opportunity to be entered into our prize draw which would allow them to Win £500 Discount voucher on Founder Catalyst services.
