Innov8-A-Thon 2026 is a 24-hour national-level, on-site hackathon organized by Sarala Birla University, Ranchi under its annual technical festival Tech Pragati 2026.

The hackathon brings together ~500 student innovators from across India to design and build real-world, impact-driven solutions across software, hardware, and hybrid domains.

Participants who do not complete official registration will NOT be considered valid, even if they submit a project on Devpost.

Requirements

Each team must submit the following on Devpost before the submission deadline:

  1. Project Title & Description

    • Clearly explain the chosen problem statement and solution

  2. Working Prototype

    • Software / hardware / hybrid solution

  3. Source Code Repository

    • GitHub / GitLab link

  4. Demo Video (MANDATORY)

    • 2โ€“3 minute demo video explaining the solution

  5. Presentation (Optional but Recommended)

    • PPT / PDF explaining architecture and impact

  • Innovation & Originality
    How unique and creative is the idea? Does the solution introduce a novel approach or improve upon existing solutions?
  • Technical Execution
    Quality of implementation, correctness of the solution, and how well the technology stack is used to build a working prototype.
