About the challenge

TechHacks 2.0 โ€“ Hack4Hope is a Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) focused hackathon organized by the Department of Information Technology, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram.

This hackathon challenges participants to build technology-driven solutions for real-world global problems aligned with the United Nations SDGs. From climate change and smart cities to healthcare access, education, and digital safety, participants are encouraged to design impactful solutions that can create meaningful change in society.

Teams can build solutions using AI/ML, cybersecurity, web/mobile applications, IoT, data analytics, or cloud technologies. The goal is to develop innovative, scalable, and socially responsible solutions that contribute to a better and more sustainable future.

 

Get started:

  • Form a team (1โ€“4 members)

  • Choose a problem statement aligned with SDGs

  • Register on Devpost

  • Start building your solution

  • Submit before the deadline with all required materials

 

Requirements

What to Build

Participants must build a working prototype that solves an SDG-related problem.

Your project should include:

  • A clear problem statement

  • A functional prototype (web/app/model/system)

  • Integration of relevant technologies (AI, cybersecurity, web, etc.)

  • A focus on real-world usability and scalability

 

What to Submit

Each team must submit:

  • ๐Ÿ“Œ Presentation / PPT

  • ๐Ÿ“Œ Mention of SDG your project addresses
