About the Challenge

BuildX Nagpur is a mini hackathon powered by Google Gemini AI designed to encourage students to solve real-world problems using AI and modern web technologies.

This hackathon focuses on idea validation, intelligent system design, and rapid prototyping.

Participants will design solutions where Gemini AI is a core component of the system, enabling smarter, more scalable applications.

The goal is to empower students to transform innovative ideas into impactful solutions.

Hackathon Structure

This hackathon will be conducted in two rounds.

Round 1 - Online Idea Submission

Teams will submit a project proposal document explaining their idea.

A working prototype is not required in this stage.

Submissions must include:

โ€ข Problem Statement

โ€ข Target Users

โ€ข Proposed Web-Based Solution

โ€ข Core Features

โ€ข How Gemini API Will Be Used (must be central)

โ€ข System Architecture / Workflow Diagram

โ€ข Expected Impact & Scalability

Judges will review submissions based on innovation, feasibility, and effective use of Gemini AI.

The top teams will be shortlisted for the final round.

Round 2 - Offline Build Round

Shortlisted teams will be invited to the Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur campus.

During this round participants will:

โ€ข Build a working prototype

โ€ข Implement Gemini AI features

โ€ข Present their solution to judges

Teams will showcase:

โ€ข Live project demo

โ€ข Architecture explanation

โ€ข Gemini integration

โ€ข Real-world impact

Final winners will be selected after judging.

What to Build

Participants must propose a web-based solution that solves a real-world problem and integrates Google Gemini AI as a central component.

Solutions may include areas such as:

โ€ข Productivity applications

โ€ข Education platforms

โ€ข Smart assistants

โ€ข Data-driven web applications

Creativity and real-world usefulness are encouraged.
