The Advanced Manufacturing: Measurement and Sensing Pilot, delivered by Innovate UK, is offering funding and tailored business support to innovative UK SMEs developing measurement, instrumentation or sensing technologies for advanced manufacturing.
The programme is designed to help high-potential businesses grow and scale while developing solutions that improve the productivity, resource efficiency or resilience of UK manufacturing supply chains.
Here’s what you can expect:
Up to £75,000 in grant funding
An additional £5,420 of Business Connect support
£80,420 total package per successful business
Up to 100% of eligible costs funded
A 9-month programme of funding and support

Who can apply?
Your business must:
Be a UK-registered micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)
Be developing a technology, product or service based on measurement, sensing or instrumentation
Be solving a specific problem within an eligible UK advanced manufacturing supply chain
Demonstrate how the technology can improve productivity, resource efficiency or resilience
Aim to grow and scale the business within the UK
Carry out funded activities in the UK
Intend to exploit the results from or within the UK
Participate fully in the programme's support activities
Eligible advanced manufacturing supply chains include:
Automotive
Aerospace
Battery
Space
Commercial production of advanced materials
The programme is not aimed at manufacturers simply developing technology for their own operations. It is looking for SMEs whose core business is developing measurement, sensing or instrumentation technologies that can be sold to manufacturing customers.
Funding: £75,000 in grant funding, plus £5,420 towards Business Connect support, giving a total application value of £80,420.
