Description
Chloe Smith, the founder of Tuft Global, has made significant strides in the pet care industry with her innovative grooming app, Tuft. Launched in June 2021, Tuft is the UKβs first app-integrated salon management software aimed at dog groomers, providing them with a convenient way to manage their business and connect with new clients. The idea for Tuft arose from Chloeβs personal experience of the difficulty in getting grooming appointments for her family dog, leading to the development of a solution that would ease this process for dog owners and groomers alike.
Under Chloeβs leadership, Tuft has seen impressive growth, including a 29% increase in app downloads since January and an expansion into the European market, specifically Spain. This growth has been supported by a successful round of external investment, totaling Β£304k, and the company is preparing for a second round of investment worth up to Β£2.2 million in early 2023. Tuftβs expansion into Spain included bringing on board new team members with significant experience in customer service and sales to cater to both the UK and Spanish markets .
Chloeβs entrepreneurial efforts have not gone unnoticed. She was recognized as a finalist in the Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year category at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2022, a testament to her innovative service and contribution to the industry out of over 5,300 entrants.
