Steampunk: Cloud Architect

Salary: $130,000 - $215,000

Responsibilities:

• Identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions for clients
• Design and maintain cloud environments
• Implement cloud strategies, including migrations and optimization
• Establish development tools and infrastructure for automation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to convey their needs to developers
• Improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes
• Perform root cause analysis and develop software updates
• Ensure system security against cyber threats
• Work with software developers and engineers to ensure processes are followed
• Support enterprise cloud applications and infrastructure
• Document current and recommended states of the environment
• Utilize virtualization and containerization to modernize software systems
• Mentor junior team members
• Engineer and implement solutions for service improvement
• Provide regular status updates and cross-training to team members

Qualifications:

Required:

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in an IT field or 2 years of related IT experience
• 10+ years of experience in cloud solutions
• Experience with two or more clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)
• Experience with Git SCM providers
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Experience with infrastructure as code and orchestration
• Experience with DevSecOps tooling and orchestration
• 5+ years of experience in database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, or advanced analytics
• Solution Architect Certification in at least two clouds
• 5+ years of experience in a client-facing or consultative architecture role

Preferred:

• Master's degree in an IT-related field
• Certifications in all four major clouds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with documentation and scripting
• Experience with automation tools
• Experience working in a Health Science Program
