Responsibilities:

  • Transform Figma prototypes into polished mobile experiences using React Native and Expo.
  • Design and implement backend systems in Convex for gamification and social features.
  • Build adaptive layouts and implement system-integrated dark/light theme switching.
  • Architect data models and real-time sync for GPS heatmap data.
  • Manage basic GitHub CI/CD and Expo EAS deployment workflows.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.
  • Solid backend development skills with Convex or experience with Firebase/Supabase.
  • Previous experience with building gamification systems or social platform features.
  • Database design expertise for real-time, social applications.
  • Methodical testing mindset with a focus on data integrity, performance, and user privacy.
  • Understanding of React Native styling, flexbox, and platform-specific nuances.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with UI component systems or animation libraries.
  • Understanding of mobile app backend constraints.
  • Knowledge of social feed algorithms, content moderation systems, or analytics pipelines.
  • Familiarity with location-based service architectures.
