This role will play a critical part in protecting the organization's web-based applications, both on-premises and in the cloud. As a key member of the team, the Web Application Security Engineer will be responsible for onboarding applications into a Content Delivery Network, configuring and maintaining Web Application Firewalls, and conducting Dynamic Application Security Testing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the onboarding of web applications into a CDN, ensuring proper security policy integration and optimized delivery.
  • Manage WAFs in various environments, including those co-managed with external service providers.
  • Conduct DAST scans on web applications to identify vulnerabilities and provide remediation guidance.
  • Monitor application traffic and threat activity, making necessary adjustments to WAF policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and document any vulnerabilities.

Job Specifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.

5+ years of experience with WAF technologies such as Akamai Kona, Azure App Gateway, Cloudflare.

7+ years of experience with DAST tools such as Burp Suite and enterprise scanning platforms.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).

Familiarity with OWASP Top Ten, threats, and vulnerabilities.

Experience with CDN platforms and integration of security policies.
