Senior Software Engineer

Copenhagen, Denmark (Possible remote or hybrid option)

Are you a Senior Software Engineer looking for an opportunity to take ownership of problem spaces and make meaningful technical decisions? Look no further! Cue, a Copenhagen-based company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team and help shape the future of their systems.

Cue is a fast-growing company with a clear mission to provide innovative solutions for their customers. They operate in the finance and tech industries and have a strong focus on collaboration and autonomy. As a Senior Software Engineer at Cue, you will have the opportunity to work on complex problems and make impactful decisions that will shape the company's future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of entire problem spaces from start to finish, including understanding user problems, making technical decisions, and shipping solutions
  • Make significant technical decisions, set architectural direction, and build long-lasting systems
  • Work autonomously with minimal oversight, identifying what to build next rather than waiting for direction
  • Ship frequently, iterate based on real usage, and communicate progress clearly in writing
  • Collaborate with the team in an async-first environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Passion for treating the product as your own and taking initiative to fix or build solutions
  • Ability to prioritize usefulness over elegance when shipping products
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Thrives in ambiguous situations, asking clarifying questions and moving forward
  • Adaptable and enjoys learning new languages, frameworks, and domains

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience building and shipping production systems
  • Data integration experience with APIs, webhooks, file ingestion, ETL, or similar
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or LangGraph
  • Familiarity with graph databases or complex data modeling
  • Previous experience in an early-stage startup environment
  • Knowledge of LLM/agent experience, tool-use patterns, and agent ops experience

Our Stack (All Learnable):

  • Golang (backend - Go monolith architecture)
  • Vue/Nuxt (dedicated SSR frontend - backend-heavy role)
  • GCP, PostgreSQL
  • Agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph)

At Cue, they value your ability and willingness to learn over specific tech stack knowledge. In your first 90 days, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Ship multiple features to production
  • Identify and take ownership of new projects
  • Make impactful technical decisions that improve the product
  • Earn trust to work independently
  • Establish patterns and practices that enhance the codebase
