As the Remote E-commerce Product Designer, you will be responsible for crafting visually compelling and functionally effective Shopify experiences that drive user engagement and conversions. Your deep understanding of online consumer behavior and user experience design will be crucial to your success in this pivotal role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design conversion-focused Shopify website experiences from concept to final UI
  • Create clear UX flows based on business and marketing goals
  • Design homepage, collection, and product page layouts
  • Develop marketing banners, promotional assets, and supporting visuals
  • Design email visuals and layouts aligned with website branding
  • Build and maintain clean, scalable design systems in Figma
  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure designs are buildable and accurately implemented
  • Iterate designs based on feedback, performance insights, and project goals
  • Maintain a consistently high level of detail across all deliverables
  • Clearly explain design decisions, UX rationale, and conversion logic

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX or e-commerce design
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma (UX flows, UI systems, components, auto-layout)
  • Strong experience designing e-commerce websites, preferably Shopify
  • Clear understanding of the online buying journey and conversion principles
  • Excellent eye for layout, spacing, typography, and visual hierarchy
  • Ability to design original concepts without relying on templates or UI kits
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly
  • Portfolio showcasing end-to-end e-commerce design work
