We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our growing team and help us build AI-driven data products to provide our users with a highly relevant customer experience. This is a remote position, with the flexibility to work from anywhere within a maximum time zone difference of +/- 2 hours from Switzerland (GMT +2).

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize platform services on our modern industry standard GCP based data environment
• Collaborate with software architects/engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to define data needs and provide solutions in an agile environment
• Develop high-quality code for data pipelines
• Provision and monitor data products
• Maintain data pipeline orchestration, datalake, and data warehouse
• Encouraged to take on own data and engineering initiatives

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge and experience in SQL programming and dbt
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar data science/engineering role, with a strong track record of data projects on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Familiarity with GCP native services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Dataproc, and Dataflow
• Proficiency in developing high-quality software, including unit and integration tests, in languages such as Python or Java, using CI/CD tools and Git
• Experience with managing data pipeline workflows with Airflow
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure as a code frameworks (Terraform)
• Familiarity with distributed computing technologies like Apache Spark and knowledge of ML concepts/frameworks is a plus
• Openness to learning new technologies and taking on new challenges
