Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize Shopify themes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects
• Integrate third-party services and APIs with Shopify stores
• Mentor junior team members on best practices
• Lead major Shopify Plus projects from start to finish
• Contribute to the growth of the Shopify practice through app development and open-source contributions

Requirements:

Essential:

• 3+ years of experience developing on the Shopify platform
• Proficiency in Liquid templating and Shopify Theme development
• Strong skills in JavaScript, React, and modern front-end technologies
• Understanding of eCommerce fundamentals and best practices
• Effective communication skills for working with both teammates and clients
• Inclusive, community-driven mindset with a passion for continual learning
• Proficiency with Shopify Plus and the Shopify API
• Hands-on experience with Shopify app development

Nice to have:

• Experience with Shopify's Hydrogen framework and headless commerce approaches
• Familiarity with GraphQL and Shopify's Admin API
• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails
• Experience with Shopify's checkout extensions and customizations
• Past consulting or client management experience
