Hi everybody!

My name is James Huang. I'm the founder and director of Alongside Accounting, which started in 2023. I'm a Chartered Accountant who trained with KPMG London audit. I'm fulfilling my dream of running my own business and serving startups, individuals and SMEs. We offer the usual accountancy compliance services (bookkeeping, accounting, tax and payroll) and finance transformation consultancy.

I live with my wife and two young kids in Bromley and run for fun. 31 half marathons and counting!!

James Beresford Morgan has been helping with my website, and that is my connection to Startup Networks. I'm looking to connect with other businesses who need accountancy and tax help.

Welcome to the forum sir!

To all members of SN - I've been dealing with James for a while now and it's clear he's very professional, very friendly - and I'm very happy to have met him through Dean, who some of you may know!

James has been happy to offer a Free Consultation to Startup Networks members too!

Kind regards,
James.

Welcome James - and 31 half marathons is mad, fair play. Sounds like you're serving exactly the founders I spend my time around.

Selfishly I love meeting good startup accountants, because the founders I talk to are usually great at building and terrible at keeping their books in a state you'd actually want to receive them in. The ones who get set up properly with an accountant early - clean categorisation, receipts attached, payroll sorted - raise and scale with a lot less drama.

I'm building in the same world (Seapoint - finance/banking for funded startups, sits on top of Xero), so we're complementary rather than competing. Happy to connect and compare notes on what early-stage founders keep getting wrong with their finances. Best of luck with Alongside.

Welcome to Startup Networks, James! Great to have you here. Sounds like you've built up some great experience, and I'm sure plenty of founders here will benefit from your insights. Also, 31 half marathons is quite an achievement! Hope you enjoy the community.
