Enterprise AI is advancing quickly, but many businesses face a less glamorous problem before they can make the most of it. Their data is fragmented across hundreds of systems, making it difficult for people and AI tools to understand what is happening across the organisation.

London-based Prevalent AI is tackling that challenge after securing ยฃ16 million from Integrity Growth Partners. The investment marks the first primary capital Prevalent AI has raised in its nine-year history and will support international expansion, including a stronger presence in the US. (Soapbox)

Turning fragmented data into enterprise context

Founded in 2017 by Paul Stokes and Arun Raj, Prevalent AI has built a data fabric that connects information from hundreds of enterprise systems into a continuously updated sovereign knowledge graph.

The idea is simple but increasingly important. Large organisations have plenty of data, but that data often exists in disconnected systems that were never designed to work together.

Prevalent AI brings those sources together so security teams and AI systems can understand what exists across an organisation, how different assets and controls relate to each other and where operational gaps may exist. (Soapbox)

The company has already built its business around major banks, telecommunications providers and insurers, while remaining profitable since its first customer. Its annual recurring revenue has more than doubled over the past 12 months. (prevalent.ai)

Why investors are backing the data layer

For founders and investors, Prevalent AI's story is particularly interesting because the company has reached this point without relying on external growth capital.

Its technology initially focused on cybersecurity, where fragmented information can create serious operational and compliance risks. The company now plans to take its knowledge graph beyond cybersecurity into broader enterprise risk and operational use cases.

That expansion comes at an important time for AI adoption. Businesses are increasingly deploying AI agents and automation, but these systems are only as reliable as the information and context they can access.

Integrity Growth Partners Managing Partner Ryan Anderson described Prevalent AI as an AI-native technology built with strong capital discipline, highlighting the company's ability to grow while remaining profitable. (prevalent.ai)

The funding will help Prevalent AI build out its global go-to-market organisation, expand its leadership team and accelerate its US expansion. (prevalent.ai)

For Prevalent AI, the next challenge is turning its success in cybersecurity into a broader enterprise platform. If it can do that, the company could benefit from a growing demand for trusted context as businesses move from experimenting with AI to deploying it at scale.
