At what stage of fundraising do investors normally start asking for company documents and due-diligence information?

Is this something you should have ready before talking to investors, or only once someone is actually interested??

I'd have the basics ready before you start pitching. Doesn't mean you need a massive data room on day one though.

Yeah, please don't spend three weeks building a beautiful data room before you've even had a decent investor conversation 😂

I'd have the boring stuff organised though. Company docs, accounts, cap table, key contracts etc.

Nothing kills momentum like saying "I'll get that to you next week" five times.
