New to the Community! I'm Gila - I help Founders reclaim the room to lead

Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป I'm Gila.

If you're reading this, you've built something real: you have a team supporting you, people are doing their jobs, but you're still the one holding the operational and marketing function together. You're buried in admin, making every decision, and running out of hours in the week to actually lead the business.

You didn't start your business to become your own operations manager, marketing strategist, and admin assistant rolled into one. But here you are: too busy to grow the way you envisaged, and too exhausted to break the cycle. It's more common than you think, and honestly, it's solvable.

I'm the right hand small businesses don't have in-house, building the smart systems that keep the pressure off your plate and delivering the marketing that actually moves the needle. I start with whatever is costing you most right now and then expand from there.

What makes this different: I combine the operational depth of a business manager, the marketing capability of a strategist, and the hands-on execution of a VA - a rare mix that lets me step in as your embedded partner, not just another VA. I also bring CMI Level 5 sustainability management expertise for founders ready to embed net-zero operations without adding complexity.

I've seen what happens when visionary founders try to do it all - the stalled growth, the feeling that you're capable of so much more but can't get out from under the detail. That's exactly where I come in.

Without breaking this cycle, nothing changes. Another quarter of drowning in admin and operational detail means another quarter of limited growth and missed opportunities. You didn't build this business to survive - you built it to lead. And you can't lead in firefighter mode.

Here's what happens when you do: You reclaim 10โ€“15 hours a month. That's hours you use to grow, which brings in revenue, which makes investing in support feel more manageable. Your inbox and diary run without you - triaged and ready for your next move. Business operations stop adding to your decision load. Your marketing is focused and consistent. You have the headspace to lead with confidence. Growth feels stable, sustainable, and exciting, NOT exhausting.

More time โ†’ More growth โ†’ More revenue โ†’ More capacity to invest โ†’ More support โ†’ More time.

The cycle works for you, not against you.

I'm here for two reasons:

  • To connect with founders who need the right person working alongside them

  • To learn from this community and share what I'm seeing work on the ground

If that sounds like a fit, drop me a line.

Looking forward to being a part of this.

Gila

Welcome to the community, Gila! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Really glad to have you here. I like the practical approach youโ€™re taking to help founders get out of the day-to-day. Whatโ€™s the biggest thing founders usually struggle with when you first work with them?

Thanks, Duane.

Everyone founder has different pressures, but ultimately it's everything that causes friction and stops them having the time to wear their CEO hat and lead the business.

I'll give you three current examples which will give you an idea of what might come first:

  1. They have to sift through hundreds of emails a day and they simply don't have the hours in the day to manage their inbox and diary and run their business. All this means that important business opportunities are falling through the cracks. Having someone to support them for an hour or two (or more) on a daily basis, triaging their emails, maintaining inbox zero, proactively taking action, scheduling meetings, and prioritising tasks relieves significant pressure for the founder, allowing them to reclaim time and headspace for their business.

  2. A founder who has a great team supporting the business (CFO, CMO, sales), but is creating an unintended bottleneck because he still hold all the important information in his head so every decision still lands with him and the business cannot run without him being available 16+ hours a day. Having someone who can take all of that key information to create SOPs and clear processes and guidelines for his team means that his time is freed up to do the work that matters. Plus, he can actually spend time at the gym, with his family and create some breathing space for himself.

  3. A founder who is going through the motions posting on social media but really doesn't know what to post about and quite honestly doesn't want to spend the time doing that instead of building her business' pipeline. She wants to know that it's being taken care of for her, that someone can come and create a content strategy, create a social media calendar and just approach her for final approvals or when a little more detail is needed from her, and that they're keeping on top of current trends and best practices so she doesn't have to spend the time doing it. The relief to have that taken off their to-do-list makes the biggest difference.

All three are real clients, and hopefully that gives you a little insight. Like I said, it could be one of those or any one of several other struggles.
