London-based recruitment technology company Metaview has raised £45 million in Series C funding as it looks to push AI further into the hiring process and reduce the amount of manual work recruiters deal with every day.

The round was led by Insight Partners, with participation from GV, Intrepid Growth Partners, Seedcamp, Vertex Ventures US, Plural and Garuda Ventures. The funding brings Metaview's total raised to nearly £85 million, or $110 million, according to the company.

Founded in 2018 by Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, former leaders at Uber and Palantir, Metaview initially focused on capturing and analysing job interviews. It has since expanded into a broader AI-powered recruiting platform designed to support multiple stages of the hiring process.

Its latest product direction is centred around AI agents.

Rather than simply helping recruiters take interview notes, Metaview's platform can source candidates, review applications against a role, conduct structured screening conversations and turn interviews into usable information. People still define the criteria and make the final decisions, while the AI handles more of the repetitive work.

The company says more than 7,000 businesses now use its platform and that it has processed more than 6 million interviews. Some customers have reported cutting time-to-hire by more than 75%.

The fresh capital will help Metaview bring its autonomous recruiting coworker, fillmore, to general availability and develop additional specialist AI agents. The company also plans to increase its workforce from around 80 people to 250 by the end of next year and open a new New York office alongside its existing London and San Francisco locations.

The timing is significant.

Recruitment is still heavily dependent on manual processes, despite the huge amount of data generated during hiring. At the same time, AI has made applying for jobs much easier, increasing the volume of applications recruiters need to handle.

That creates a problem that AI agents could potentially address. Instead of simply adding another software tool to an already crowded recruitment stack, Metaview is trying to automate the workflow itself.

For investors, the funding also reflects a wider shift from AI copilots towards agentic software that can complete tasks rather than simply provide suggestions.

For founders and growing businesses, there is an obvious attraction. Hiring is expensive, time-consuming and difficult to scale. If AI can take over repetitive recruitment work while humans remain responsible for important decisions, smaller teams could potentially operate with much more capacity.

Metaview's challenge now is proving that this approach can work reliably at scale without sacrificing the judgement and human interaction that good recruitment still requires.
