Hello from Abuja. Introducing OneClickMed, the connected EHR for Nigerian hospitals

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Iโ€™m Reagan Rowland, founder and CEO of OneClickMed, based in Abuja, Nigeria.

OneClickMed started with a lost paper file. My son was booked for surgery at 6:30am after a week of tests, and on the day the hospital couldnโ€™t find his folder. We lost more than six hours and paid again to open a new file, and he had to repeat his tests before he could go into theatre. In most Nigerian private hospitals, that is an ordinary day.

We build a cloud EHR for small and mid-sized hospitals. It covers the full hospital workflow: registration, consultation, lab, pharmacy, billing, admissions, maternity, theatre and HMO/NHIS billing. It also has AI speech-to-text that fills in consultation notes as the doctor speaks. Alongside it sits Beta Health, our patient app.

Where we are today:

  • 3 paying hospitals across Abuja, Enugu and Kano, with 37 active users

  • More than 10,200 patient records digitised

  • At our pilot sites, finding a patientโ€™s record now takes about 1โ€“2 minutes instead of 5โ€“15, and duplicate patient files are gone

  • Top 10 in the ACE Startup Academy (KOICA/SMEDAN), grants from the Tony Elumelu Foundation, the African Impact Challenge and StartUp Abuja, and a member of NVIDIA Inception

  • I also serve as Treasurer of the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria

Over the next 12 months weโ€™re scaling through referral partnerships with hospital networks and opening our pre-seed round.

Iโ€™d love to meet:

  • Angels and pre-seed investors who back health tech or B2B SaaS in Africa

  • Founders who have sold software into hospitals, especially in emerging markets, and are happy to swap notes

  • Health-tech, diagnostics or pharma companies looking for a route into Nigerian private hospitals

My biggest challenge right now: hospital sales in Nigeria run on trust and referrals. Weโ€™re working out how to scale warm channels without slowing down.

Iโ€™m happy to help where I can, too, on the Nigerian healthcare market, hospital procurement, or building a company in Abuja.

Welcome Reagan! I work around healthtech too, so I know the product itself is only half the battle. Getting people to actually use it is a whole different story ๐Ÿ˜…

With hospitals, I imagine it's even trickier when different teams already have their own way of doing things.

How has the response been so far from the hospitals you've spoken to?
