We Sold 60 Bottles in Our First Weekend. Didn't Expect That ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Okay, I wanted to share a little win because honestly, I wasn't expecting this at all.

We sell small-batch bottled drinks, and we took them to a local weekend market to see if people would actually buy them. We'd spent weeks sorting out the recipes, labels, bottles, pricing, all that stuff. At some point, you start wondering if you're just making something you like and hoping everyone else will too.

We brought 80 bottles with us.

By the end of the weekend, we'd sold 60.

I know that probably doesn't sound massive compared to some of the numbers people share here, but for us, it was a big deal. We'd sold at a few smaller events before, but nothing like this. People were coming back to buy another bottle, and a couple even asked where they could order more after the market.

It's not life-changing money, obviously, especially once you count ingredients, packaging and the stall fee. But seeing people spend their own money on something we've been working on for months was a different feeling.

Now I'm trying to figure out what comes next. Do we make more stock for the next market? Start taking online orders? Or slow down and see if people actually come back?

For those who've had an early win like this, what did you do next? And did you manage to keep the momentum going, or did it take a while to get another good result?

Still buzzing a bit, not gonna lie. ๐Ÿ˜…

60 out of 80 is a decent result for a first market!

Just don't assume the next one will do the same.

What did you sell them for, and roughly how much was left after costs??
