We Have a Temporary Fix That's Been Running for 8 Months. Should I Be Worried?

Featured Replies

A small confession from the operations side of things. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

We had a minor process issue a while back. Nothing major, so instead of fixing the actual problem, we came up with a quick workaround.

It was supposed to last a week.

Eight months later, everyone is still using it. People have built their own little routines around it, and now changing it would probably cause more disruption than leaving it alone.

Part of me wants to finally sort it out. The other part is wondering why I should touch something that technically works.

Please tell me someone else has a temporary solution that's become a permanent fixture in their business. What's yours???
