The investors I've worked with have always been more about providing money than anything else.Β  I had no idea that so many investors weren't hands-off.Β  I'm not sure which I'd prefer.Β Β

Same, and I think I prefer the hands-off approach. Unless they're extremely knowledgeable about the industry, an investor being overly involved could be a hindrance to the startup as a whole.
