Who you are
- 2+ years of experience, ideally in financial services or a fintech environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively work cross-functionally with the rest of team InsurX, as well as with external stakeholders and customers at a senior level
- Comfortable with reading commercial agreements. You donβt need to be a qualified solicitor, but you do need to have an eye for detail & a commercial mindset when approaching agreements
- Proven ability to deliver results working cross-functionally and to tight deadlines. Comfortable in a fast-paced and ambitious environment: youβll own key customer relationships from the get-go
- Effective prioritisation. Youβll have a lot of competing opportunities and priorities β itβs important you are proactive in managing both yours and the teamsβ workload to maximise delivery
- A customer-first mindset. Youβll identify our customersβ challenges and opportunities, and work with the rest of the Commercial team and across InsurX to enhance our value proposition

What the job involves
- InsurXβs Commercial team is responsible for our growth strategy, sales, and looking after the customers on both sides of our Exchange β brokers and insurers
- Grow our business: conduct research and develop your network to understand market dynamics so that we can build a well-structured funnel of prospective customers. Youβll take responsibility for strategically advancing prospects towards becoming customers
- Identify & deliver additional value to our customers: identify, map, and prioritise key customers and within the corporate & specialty insurance market. Work out how we engage with these people both on a day-to-day basis, as well as a long-term strategic basis
- Make sure we comply with the rules as efficiently as possible: draft contracts with our insurer customers which allow us to transact on their behalf. Youβll optimise this process and ensure we meet all regulatory and legal requirements in our customer contracts
- Take ownership of our marketing material and pitch decks: youβll be helping us create impactful and consistent brand collateral to deliver InsurXβs message to all of our stakeholders and customers
- Manage the details which often get missed: youβll challenge our objectives, ensure that our Commercial team sticks to agreed objectives, and take ownership of deciding which metrics we care about and how we best use our wealth of data capability in InsurX to monitor these
- Help us target our growth efforts: youβll work with our Ops and Data teams to dive into the data we produce in our Markets Insights platform. Youβll be distilling customer behaviours, market trends, and risk-trading best practices into actionable strategies
- Take care of the details: youβll be the lead on any new broker or insurer launches on our Exchange, and youβll need to work effectively across the InsurX teams to do this successfully

Communicate effectively: youβll develop a good working relationship with all brokers and insurers trading through our Exchange platform
ΒInsurX builds insurance technology that enables brokers and carriers to trade risk instantly. Their first product, the InsurX Exchange, launched in early 2023, and enables the London insurance marketplace to trade smart-follow capacity faster, better, and at a lower cost via the use of InsurXβs algorithmic risk matching technology.
The platform also enables algorithmic portfolio underwriting for Lloydβs insurers and provides rich data insights to market participants.
The company was incubated as part of Lloyd's of London's internal accelerator, Lloyd's Lab, and recently won global law firm Norton Rose Fulbrightβs prestigious annual βInsurathonβ, gaining Β£25k of investment plus the same in legal services
