Starlight is DevSoc’s open project showcase that celebrates bringing ideas to life by passionate and aspiring engineers. The event is open-floor, free for anyone to attend, and fully catered.
From software to hardware and everything in between, this is your opportunity to:
- Share your work with a live audience
- Spark conversations with other builders
- Get inspired by what others are creating
Whether it’s a side project, something you’ve been grinding for a while, or even an old idea you want to bring back to life, you are welcome to submit your project.
Requirements
🛠️ PROJECT SUBMISSION STEPS
STEP 1 - Submit your project on Devpost
- Include a poster PDF (A3) outlining your project, full requirements and restrictions can be found in our handbook.
- Add supporting links (GitHub, demo, etc.)
- Here are some examples of previously accepted posters
STEP 2 - Get selected for showcase
- DevSoc will review submissions
- We will email you if you are selected to present your project
STEP 3 - Present at Starlight
- You’ll receive your own stall at UNSW Roundhouse
- We’ll handle poster printing and help you get set up
- You showcase your project live to attendees and judges
- Here are the preliminary project prizes
Additional Requirements
Let us know of any extra items you would like to demo on the day (i.e. if you have a hardware component that you would like to display or if you would like to supply a laptop so people can interact with your project).
