The Woodson Center's Community Affiliates Network (CAN) supports grassroots organisations and community leaders working to solve social challenges within their own communities across the United States.

By joining CAN, organisations can access grant opportunities, training, technical assistance, networking and collaboration with other grassroots leaders across the country.

Hereโ€™s what you can expect:

  • Up to $5,000 through the CAN mini-grant programme

  • Access to additional grant opportunities

  • Networking with hundreds of grassroots organisations and community leaders

  • Monthly calls with other community leaders

  • Online training and leadership development

  • Technical assistance to strengthen your organisation

  • Support with areas including grant writing and fundraising

  • Help with financial management and organisational development

  • Marketing and communications support

  • Programme development and evaluation guidance

  • Opportunities to collaborate and share best practice with other grassroots organisations

Funding is designed to help smaller community organisations develop and deliver projects without the complex application processes that can prevent grassroots groups from accessing traditional funding.
