  1. You have my utmost respect for working for the NHS. I know you could make a great deal more by jumping ship and going private. Thank you for putting your patients first. I look forward to seeing your ideas on the forum.
  2. Conquering childhood obesity is quite the lofty goal, Hercules. You're correct about it becoming a problem. I'm looking forward to learning more about your project. Welcome to the forum!
  3. It's difficult, isn't it? Especially when it feels like your baby is on the line. I took my time in seeking out help. I hired a family member first, which some might say has it's own pitfalls, but I think that's a load of tosh. If you get on well and have the same communication style, then it works out nicely. I avoid micromanaging because I have someone I trust.
  4. I'm still running my operation on a shoe-string budget in order to reinvest back into the company. As such, I chose to hire freelancers from Upwork instead of taking on the legal obligations of full-time employees. I've specifically used Upwork to find freelancers to handle administrative tasks and digital marketing. There have been a few hiccups, but so far, I've been satisfied with the quality of their work.
  5. That's a good question. I guess it depends on whether there's enough money to be made off of something like this. It seems like it would be highly lucrative, but something must've scared off investors, so who knows.
  6. Welcome to the forum and congrats on being named a mentor! I'd love to hear a bit about you all if you feel like sharing.
  7. My mentor told me to listen twice as much as I speak. I have a bad habit of filling silence with nervous chatter, which makes me look insecure and unsure about my business when I'm meeting with potential investors. It's such a difficult habit to break, though.
