Hi from Sean - founder at Seapoint (Dublin & London)

Featured Replies

Hi all - Sean here. I'm one of the founders of Seapoint (seapoint.co), building what we call the financial home for startups: one place to see every bank balance, pay invoices and payroll, keep the books clean, and actually know your runway. We're based between Dublin and London and closed our seed round earlier this year.

Bit about me: I've spent an embarrassing chunk of my founder life wrestling with a mongrel stack of banking apps, spreadsheets and accounting tools - and watching other founders do the same. That frustration is basically why Seapoint exists.

I'm not here to pitch though - mostly I want to be useful. Happy to talk cash flow, runway, open banking, treasury, the monthly payroll scramble, or raising in Europe (still fresh from it). If any of that is doing your head in, give me a shout.

What's everyone building? Always keen to meet other early-stage founders, especially around the UK and Ireland.

Welcome aboard, Sean! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Thanks for the introduction, and congratulations on the seed round. Sounds like you've got plenty of hands-on experience that founders here can learn from. Hope you enjoy the community!

Thanks for the warm welcome, much appreciated. The volume and quality of content here is genuinely impressive for a community this size, it's why I wanted to actually take part rather than just lurk. I'll keep chipping in where I can be useful, finance and runway stuff is my wheelhouse but happy to talk shop on most things. Good to be here.

Really appreciate that Sean, we're growing quite nicely - reached 2700 members yesterday. I can see loads of members online, just not many people post - figured if we keep posting regular content - eventually they'll bite! Can see loads of people lurking around in the background downloading things, hitting links - they are just shy I guess

if you're lurking while reading this - jump in a convo - never know what'll happen!

Ha, the lurker-to-poster ratio is brutal in every community, but 2,700 this fast is no joke. Fwiw the thing that's tipped lurkers into posting for me is asking dead-specific questions they can answer in one line, it lowers the bar right down. Either way, happy to keep the content coming.

Haha thank you! It's been a real challenge. Had 15 members join today which is nice and we've had something like 1.4m views this month - so its nice to see things growing!

I'm cracking out content and doing research all the time for us and I have a fantastic team of people who work with us - for instance; @Duane , great guy and new to the team! @Harry is a lurker on here, but is my best mate and co-founder!
